KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Monique Duson
Chantal Monique Duson is the co-founder and President at the Center for Biblical Unity. She has a background in social service and children’s ministry. She has worked with a diverse array of under-served communities. She worked as a Missionary to South Africa for over four years, serving children and teachers impacted by drugs, violence, and trauma. She spent two decades advocating for Critical Race Theory (CRT), but through a series of events, began to clearly see the contradictions of CRT with the historic Christian worldview. Monique is now convinced that CRT is not the best way to achieve racial unity and actively speaks out against the use of CRT within the church. Monique has a BA in Sociology from Biola University. She is working on a MA in Public Theology at Birmingham Theological Seminary.

How Can We Keep This Going? That's the question we've been asked by many after the powerful time of community prayer we've experienced at every Prayer Breakfast over the last 9 years. Until now, we had no practical answer.
Introducing BLESS Central OregonAt the upcoming Central Oregon Leaders Prayer Breakfast, we’ll launch an innovative, technology-supported regional prayer initiative that will quickly make it possible for every home in our region to be bathed in prayer, including yours. Imagine the possibilities.
Although we live in an amazing place, the challenges we face in our region are many and difficult. I frequently hear, "Somebody needs to do something!" In our well-meaning attempts to fix our challenges by "doing something," we have things backwards. As a region in general, we are thrashing around “doing stuff” and then (at best) praying that what we are doing will work. This is foolish and doomed to failure, as evidenced by our current situation, which continues to worsen, despite all our "doing." The truth is that all lasting transformation begins with prayer, followed by wise, Spirit-directed action. Therefore, join us as we answer the question of "how to keep this going" as we launch Prayer-infused regional transformation. |
